sharing the love

Thanks Mich for this tag.

This award is extra special because Crystal created it in honor of the donor who saved her son’s life. Her son Noah had to have a heart transplant when he was just over a month old. This award is supposed to help raise awareness of the importance of organ donation.

Rules in sharing Crytal’s Love:

Share this award with all those blogs out there that you love. All the people who make you smile. All those that make you laugh. All those that make your day. All those that leave uplifting comments on your blog. **All I ask, is that you include a link to this post with the award and ask your recipient to do the same**

As you may have recently seen on my side bar, I have finally created a custom blog award!! I have wanted to do this for a long time but never came up with something that “fit”. I didn’t want just anything. It had to be something that meant something to me. And what could mean more than Sharing the Love by giving you pieces of my heart??

So I created this award in Honor Of The Donor That Saved Noah’s Life. I share this award with those of you whose love and friendship have enriched my life and made my world a better place. I hope by passing this award around the blogging world we can all help raise awareness of the need for Organ Donation.

Tagging Eds, Diane and Tracy.

Saw another nice QP. I thought this would complement my daughter’s red dress (with dark blue and white stripes). Just click on the image. (Scroll down to the bottom of her post to see the link)

Sony M1: consumer’s review

We are owners of Sony-M1 for more than 3 years now. Although I’m not sure about the Sony-M2, let me share with you some of my frustrations. I will never recommend this to anyone, really.

  • It works well on well-lit places, but not on dark places. This was taken without any lights on and blinds closed but at noontime! Geez!
  • There’s no available flash that you can connect/add to it. So when out on a bar or bonfire, this digicam is hopeless.
  • If we set it to take brighter pictures (the candle icon), it will be all blurry. Unless, it is a non-moving object and you’re using a tripod.
  • Yes, tripod. We need a tripod to make use of the timer. ‘Coz unlike most digicams, you can not just put this on top of a flat surface. Although, sometimes, I appreciate it since it just looks like a mobile phone.
  • Oh, let me not start about that station as they call it (to charge it and connect with a PC or TV)
  • Too pricey for its quality (or lack of it).
  • But there is a reason I can not part with this digicam.

    • The videos (MPEG4 format) are just fantastic! Just like with photos, I take videos of BG too.

Because of this model alone, we won’t buy any Sony camera anymore. Point-and-shoot and DSLR alike.

    reluctant model

I think most scrapping moms have this similar show-stopper once in a while (but in my case, most of the time, hehehe). The subject is unwilling.

Does this not scream “I don’t like to have my picture taken!!!”? ;)

    Happy?

BG was crying so I asked.

    Mommy: What happened?
BG: Happy? Happy? (with her usual frown)

I laughed ‘coz this seemed like we were fighting and she was asking me, “Are you happy now?”
But she was merely repeating what she thought I said. :)

    free time

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. The yaya got back this morning. Got my ME time again. Will start twittering, bloghopping (and hopefully scrapping) again tomorrow. ;)

    How’s your vocabulary?

    Your Vocabulary Score: A-

    Congratulations on your multifarious vocabulary!
You must be quite an erudite person.

In cyberspace, don’t believe everything you read or see. Hahaha.

    8 days to go

I don’t really like counting days. I’d want the days to pass by without me noticing. But heck, I’d want yaya to be back soon. So I can have my ME time again. (Note: ME = blogging, scrapping, surfing, rest) It’s only 8 days to go.

I honestly think BG has improved a lot now that yaya is away. She now sleeps with no one carrying/lullying her to sleep. (Yaya has a bad habit of carrying her till she sleeps. I warned her that BG is a big baby and she will have to continue doing that even if BG weighs more than her if she doesn’t discipline the little girl into sleeping on her own.) For the first few days, she cries incessantly wanting to be carried whenever she’s sleepy. But now she knows that her cries won’t do any help. Sorry, mommy is a disciplinarian. Hahaha.

I think it is me who benefits more from yaya’s absence. I have become a “mother” to BG again. Sure, I meet all her “needs” but now, we also share quiet moments together just singing to ourselves and laughing at ourselves.

Gee, got 8 days to enjoy more of this.
