mic test

Tonight, our couple friends who are to be wed two weeks from now gave me the missalette. I will be the commentator on their wedding mass. I asked them why they chose me when most of their friends and guests are in the call center industry. I’m telling you, engineering graduates or people with IT jobs like me are likely to be NOT good at this. I hope people won’t expect too much.

the perfect dress

Last Saturday, hubby and I, together with our couple friends, Maniya and Charles, went shopping. No, we weren’t scouting for European cruises. Just simple couple friends hanging out. We didn’t push through with the planned hair treatment. Maniya reminded me that I won’t be allowed to wash my hair after treatment for 3 days, so it is best that I have it on a Friday.

We went on to look for a dress for our friend’s wedding (on August 24). I first tried on 3 dresses. My only concern was to find a dress that would match my silver strappy sandals. Among the three, the choice was a deep purple A-line dress. We opted to have lunch first. We’ll just go back after eating so I could show husband while I’m wearing/fitting it. During lunch, I remember I’ll be the commentator so I needed a rather more formal dress than that purple one. But I figured I’d just wear a studded 2-inch thick bangle, with hoop earrings and my silver sandals, and it would look formal.

But after lunch, the dress has been sold. Geez!

After 2 more hours of fitting dresses, we finally found the perfect sweet-looking knee-length gown. The only catch is, it won’t match my silver sandals. Anyway, I still have 2 weeks to look for the perfect sandals.

(Note: I intentionally didn’t post a picture of the dress. I don’t want to spoil it.) :P
