As early as now, I have been scouting for Mikee’s big school. I know it is too early but before we come up with a decision, I need to “present” it to the husband for his approval.

I have just three criteria:
- the school is known to have MANY students passing the NSAT with high scores.
- preparatory to high school.
- Christian Living part of the curriculum

And husband has one:
- CO-ED

Geez, if only our school (where hubby and I used to be classmates) is still as best as it used to be, it would have been nice for Mikee to go there too. Uhm, no, not nice. That would have been perfect! But the original owner had passed away, administration has changed and lots of competent teachers have resigned. Yeah, it’s different now. Sigh…

Anyway before this big school, we decided Mikee can attend a playschool few steps away from our place. Let’s wait and see.

I need to hit the bed now. For tomorrow morning, we will do a healthy grilling of chicken with corn, carrots and peas for my mother-in-law’s birthday party. Yummy!

Sometimes you have so much you want to tell, you don’t know which to blog first. We went to Enchanted Kingdom last Saturday. And now, Mikee has red spots all over her body.

She ate fish fillet for dinner that night and five minutes after, she was so itchy with red bumpy spots. I gave her anti-histamine. The spots are no longer bumpy nor itchy but they are still red. Mikee’s pedia says to continue giving her anti-histamine thrice a day. I hope this isn’t serious.

Anyway, Mikee wore her Dora sunglasses which she used to dislike wearing but quite oddly, she wore from 9am to 6pm last Saturday. She didn’t want to take it off so I just let her be. No wonder all her pictures she was wearing it.

Last night, I took a picture of me and Mikee both wearing our Strawberry Shortcake PJs. And today while browsing for barcode scanners, I learned of Photoshop actions over at Twitter. I’ve never used it before. I even googled how to load the actions because I had no idea how.

Anyway, below are only two of my many reasons I wanted to buy lomo cameras this Christmas.

They looked nice. Makes me think twice about getting the toys.

Whoever thought Mikee would learn her ABC’s just by watching Sesame Street. In fact, she is still afraid of Snuffy and the other monsters including Cookie monster. I only realized she knows her ABCs when she started identifying each of the letter magnets in our refrigerator. I am quite happy about it. One, I don’t need to exert extra effort. Plus, she enjoyed watching (Sesame Street) while learning. The only effort from me I guess is practising her by asking her everytime we see letters on signboards, books or even shirts.

Now I guess, it’s time to buy a Sesame Street “numbers” DVD. Perhaps, I could add shapes and colors too. Honestly, still no pressure from me. All I know is, at this age, a toddler’s brain is like a sponge absorbing all the information it could. And I just like to take advantage of that.

My sweet online friend Diane was asking for Halloween pictures and since I haven’t scrapped Mikee’s halloween pictures last year, I volunteered.

The question could be a bit conflicting for me. You see, I consider myself lazy and I like taking my time when it comes to my work, but I easily get impatient when people are too slow to think, talk or walk with me. Plus I have a highly exciteable personality. So I guess the 50% score is just right.

We had a blast this weekend. But let me share with you what happened on the first party. (I’ll have a separate post for the second party)

We were late for the party because I was so stubborn not to print the given map even if hubby told me to thrice last Friday. So in short, we can not find the place even if we have passed by the hotel twice already. Hubby didn’t see what I had put in the trunk so when it was time to download them, he was shocked to see we’re bringing the rocking lion and plastic pool to the party.

Anyway, I won’t go into the party details anymore. I’d like to post my first impressions:

Litzie - OMG! I didn’t know you were telling the truth that you are a shy person!!! The only time that I heard you talk was when we saw each other at the parking area. After that, you were all smiles. (Ang hinhin mo pala?) I hope you’ll use my gift to you. I tried looking for the mug and coaster but they said it has been phased out. So I thought of buying you a mug and GC. Btw, sorry if I didn’t buy the first two on your wishlist. I never tried buying over at multiply eh.

Mai - actually I think you are as chatty as the others. It’s just that Asher is still a baby and was having tantrums. (Di ka lang makaporma.)

Alpha - I thought you are pretty in pictures. I didn’t know you are so much prettier in person!!! (Kaya naman pala ayaw magpakita. Ma-starstruck naman nga tayo.) Btw, special thanks to Jojo for the directions. I was shy to thank him in person. Naks.

Kathy - all I could remember is the purple headband! So kikay! What you are on your blog was what I saw. But like Mai, I think you are chattier talaga than you were that day. Nahiya ka ba? Thanks for the Dora hanky that Mikee got.

I think the next EB (hopefully with the other Bebots too) should be a coffee meet-up for more chika.

Well, the other ladies, I’ve met before.

Abie, thank you so much for the bangle and bracelet. Honestly, the BBB made me so happy. I bet Howell caught that in pictures.

Aggie, thank you so much for the flash cards. I saw those while looking for Joaqui’s gifts. I was supposed to buy those too for Mikee. I just thought I’ll buy them na lang next payday. (The parties made a hole on my pocket hehehe) Good thing I didn’t. And good thing you did! Thanks!

Peachy, I hope Joaqui likes the books. btw, nanganak ka na?

Joy, super thanks for organizing this party. (I was just scared of the hotel though. I woke up at 3am and can’t sleep till 6am. Then I decided I don’t want to live in a condo. Hahaha. I was freaking out.) The food was great! We had a blast.
