little miss purple

Yesterday I went to a toy store to buy some gifts for our upcoming party. I saw several Halloween costumes. Since teacher Beth told us that on October 25, there will be a halloween treat for the kids and the kids will come in costumes for class, plus I also saw that a mall near our place will also hold a trick-or-treat later that afternoon, I decided BG should have a costume soon.

I chose a costume that would compliment my old halloween kit. She didn’t want to try the costume on though. It even has a wig. Lookie:

Sadly, BG didn’t want to put it on again after she took it off. So I guess, she won’t be wearing the wig on trick-or-treat.

toys, toys and toys

It is no secret that I wanted to buy 5 toys for myself this Christmas (and birthday, ahem). But with recent events on my cyber life got me wanting to hold on to my cyber money. Hehehe. Plus, it got me thinking to buy a Nintendo Wii instead rather than spend on toys that only I will enjoy. With wii, hubby and I can have some bonding while playing. Plus, it can make hubby get up on his feet more often. Hehe. ;)

Or another option is to buy the 5 toys for myself, and the Nintendo Wii but the DSLR will have to wait again. Well, got more than a month to decide on it.

missing the elves

The three little elves are gone. So sad. They’ve been here for quite some time. Never really got them working that hard. Just the usual workload. But now, they’re gone. Maybe a nudge to remind me that I should scrap more and blog less. Or that I should restrain myself from shopping. Looks like my dreams of having a family Disney vacations will have to wait for a looooooong time. Now what?

Just when it’s just two months till Christmas… **sigh**

swim?

Here’s an attempt to create a layout using the kit I purchased last weekend. But with the word stickers, I no longer have space to write any journaling. Good excuse huh? :P

In this shot, BG actually couldn’t wait to swim, and kept saying “swim? swim? swim?” Hence, the lip movement. :)

would you like toast with that?

Cute isn’t it? This was taken when BG was 11 months old. Hubby was supposed to join us in this photo. It’s just that he is such a KILLJOY!!! Hahaha. It’s been more than a year since we last visited a photo studio. I am thinking of having BG’s pictures taken again now that she has grown up so much since. Well, we can schedule it next time we visit the mall.

Speaking of mall, I need to go to the mall this Friday to pay some bills, buy some groceries and visit a local bookstore for some dessert recipes and check the price of the Twilight collection. I’d like to know if it’s cheaper to buy online.

what’s sexy about thea?

What’s Sexy About Your Name

You are sexy because you are sensitive. You feel deeply.
You’re the type of person who loves being seduced and pursued.

You’re too passive to ever take the lead, but you don’t mind waiting for someone to notice you.
And once someone is chasing you, you love every moment until you are caught.

Everything inside your head gets a little intense at times. You can get a bit overwhelmed in the bedroom.
Your senses are very sharp. You are easily stimulated and turned on.

three hours and counting

Three hours after downloading the kit I just purchased, I still can’t come up with any idea to scrap about. I’ve been trying to come up with ideas. It has been weeks that I last scrapped.I even have sleepless nights and starting to have acne again just thinking. I better browse the galleries again for inspiration.

To be honest, the biggest challenge for me is to come up with the topic to write about. Well, aside from finding the right pictures to express how I feel, that is.

Hopefully, I’d be able to scrap tonight. Wish me luck.

saving up for upcoming sales

I was not supposed to buy during the SPD dollar sale. I am saving up for my “toys” I plan to give myself for Christmas and for my birthday (they’re both on the same month). But it’s just a dollar for the whole kit so I thought it was almost a steal. ;)

I am also browsing for camera sales online and saw the Black Friday ads. I guess I can wait till Thanksgiving before buying any camera. If I could save much, then it will be worth the wait.

Btw, can you believe RitzCamera.com have these 12×12 paper packs on sale for only $12.89 each?

SPD $1 sale

While I was researching for home insurance, I was also chatting over at twitter with my online friends.

I once kidded that Twitter has become a shopping hub. This was where I learned of the past two sales I took advantage of. And today, it was posted that Shabby Pickle Designs was having a $1 sale. And so I bought this:

Thanks Alpha for posting this on twitter. ;)

October desktop freebie

Before I maximize my credit card limit, let me stop from window-shopping online. I had been hopping from one online store to another, I almost forgot the October calendar desktop freebie I get every month from the Shabby Princess.

This is BG playing with her aunt (my sister). I just thought the pictures captured the fun the two were having that day. Btw, click on the above image to download your free calendar desktop.

passing up on sale

I started digital scrapping two years ago. I wanted to have enough practice before I continue doing paper scrapbooks. That’s because I was so afraid to commit a mistake. It would ruin the nice papers. And I thought it would be much more affordable to do digital than paper. Then last night, I checked one of my favorite scrapbook store. They were having a sale! It was just an hour away till the sale ends. My mind was racing. Am I ready to do paper scrapbooks again? Do I have enough funds on my online account or do I need to get a cash advance to cover for the stuff?

Then I realized I’d get those kits some other time. Perhaps next year, I’m sure the store will have another great sale like this.

a shopaholic learns to budget

My sister is busy preparing for her wedding. It’s just two months away. I always tease her. You see, like my mom, she is known to be a shopaholic. So I kept teasing her if she still manages the wedding budget well or if she had blown it on a shopping spree. I even kidded that she might have to get one of those fast cash payday loans without her fiancée knowing so she could just cover it up. Of course she did not. She said she has learned to stick to the budget. She still wants to have the wedding she has in mind and wouldn’t want to ruin it with just a quick trip to Zara or Kate Spade store.

I have warned her though that there are a lot of unforeseen expenses and she better have enough extra on that day. Better be ready than sorry.
