looking for the best deal

As most of my online friends know, I had been wanting to buy a DSLR this Christmas. While all hubby wants is a Nintendo Wii or an Xbox. I had been browsing the net for the best offer. So it’s either I wait to win a bid at auctions or go for the best buy at buy.com. I had been scouting for the best deal for 6 months now just so that we can buy with our limited budget. Geez, why can’t I just win the lottery? :D

last weekend

Last weekend, we went to the mall after attending mass. I ate so much during lunch. I couldn’t care less about the added pounds after reading about Lipovox reviews. I can see that there’s hope.

After lunch, Mikee rode the carousel for four times. I remember the first time she rode that same carousel she was crying and was afraid of the whole thing. She’s older now and still crying, this time because she didn’t want to leave the carousel. She even was the one who chose the horse that she’d like to ride on. Again, I regret not having a DSLR yet. :D

I need a healthier lifestyle

I realize I have been living a very unhealthy lifestyle. I work in front of my laptop 9 hours or more 5x a week, sometimes rarely moving around. The only exercise I get is when I walk from the office to the train (MRT) station going home 3x a week. That is if hubby isn’t fetching me.

I am not eating healthy either. Today I ate:
- 2 bars of Butterfinger
- 1 big cookie
- spaghetti
- french fries
- 1 can of tuna
- one bag of junk food I am going to eat tonight ;)

I badly need to eat veggies and fruits more often.

No wonder that I can’t shed the extra pounds off even if I skip eating rice. I’ve lost hope to lose weight in time for my sister’s wedding. I badly need to move around, to exercise. Anybody who can recommend the best fat burner in the market?

I have this striped blouse that I like wearing. I wore it on our team planning but regretted that I did. I looked so fat in all of our pictures. :sigh:

But I know the real solution is to live healthy. To exercise and eat healthy. Geez, I guess, I know my next year’s resolution then. ;)

Bebots/Twitter Exchange Gifts wishlist

My wishlist is a hobo bag. I know, I know. It is difficult for our budget. But trust me, I don’t mind using a bag from a never-heard label. In fact, I’d rather use something like that than use a knock-off. ;)

Locally, Celine fits our budget and offers nice bags.
Just to give you an idea of what I like, here’s a pic.

planning for scraptime

I haven’t scrapped since last Wednesday. Too much work, too many other things to do. So the planned 2-hours-per-day wasn’t followed. I’m thinking, I could leave for a day just to finish one album. Wachathink? Not a bad idea huh? :D

Nah! It won’t work.

laptop, pizza and vacation plans

Last Thursday, my laptop fell.

My laptop bag was accidentally dropped off by a team mate. It is still working actually. But one hinge is now dismantled making the screen separate from the keyboard part. The good news is I can report this to our service center and just tell them I’d bring the laptop ONLY when the part becomes available. Meaning, I will just have to wait for half a day to get it fixed. As opposed to the others who used a service laptop for a month while waiting for their laptops to get fixed.

Tonight was our pizza night. The agenda was to choose the resort we will book for next year’s out-of-town summer vacation. The guys wondered why we didn’t opt for Macau/HK trip. One told us that Macau is now Asia’s version of las vegas nv. The girls, explained in our defense, that the Macau/HK trip is intended for 2010. ;)

i need discipline

Oh I so love cramming! I will need to leave the house at 6am tomorrow. Yet, I haven’t packed my bags. I was busy the whole day today researching about Outer Banks, working and digiscrapping. According to my twitter updates, I started scrapping 11 hours ago. Hmm, I stopped for dinner and to play with Mikee so minus two hours. That’s 9 hours of scrapping!

I have been so motivated by my kits and by imagining to have old family photos organized into 5 photobooks sometime next year. :)

I think I should discipline myself. I should just allot 2 hours a day for scrapping. In that way, my goal will be much more manageable. ;)

I shopped

I have promised, to my hubby’s delight, that I’d lessen shopping. This is to save up for an out-of-town trip. But just the other day, I received an email that our favorite store (aka Old Navy) is having a sale. I checked the site and saw cute matching swimsuits and flipflops for Mikee. Almost instantly, I emailed my cousin about the four items. She promised she’d visit the store once she finds spare time. I hope hubby is ok with this. I wonder if I need to bribe him with some sports gifts. On a second thought, I’m sure hubby won’t mind once he buys his Wii.

Come to think of it, the items are still related to our trip. Mikee will wear those swimsuits on that trip! I’m listing them down as trip expenses. Hehehe.

Speaking of shopping, ever wondered what kits I bought last weekend? :D
These are from SSD. I actually panicked ‘coz these kits will no longer be sold in the store:

What? I got them 50% off their regular price. :)

While this one is from Peppermint Creative:

I am so inspired to scrap. I figured I can scrap more pages if I won’t post them online. That would take some pressure off my scrapping mojos. ;) I can just have them printed and make myself happy. :D

Btw, do you think I can list the kits as trip expenses too?

was it just a coincidence?

You are not going to believe what happened to me while buying some SSD kits. Yesterday, either the connection was too slow or their shop can not accommodate all customers ‘coz I can’t seem to finish my shopping. The pages were loading so slow or stayed hung. So I decided to stop.

And today, I decided to continue. All items in my cart were gone so I patiently chose items again. As I was logging in to check out, the aircon in our room suddenly got turned off. Obviously, the electricity was out. Meaning, my internet was cut too. Then lights came back on. So the internet went back too. It was off for just a minute. Why did that happen just as I was logging in for check out? It got me thinking, was I being discouraged to shop?

Heck! I went shopping anyway. Weeee! :)
