My planned paparazzi role went well yesterday. I was able to take pictures of relatives who attended the get-together. Well, there were some who were not willing to have their pictures taken and I respected their wish.

There was one shot though that I missed taking. It’s the hit-the-pot game. I was positioned at the right place, few feet away in front of the pot. But I was too afraid that bits and pieces would hit BG. So I stopped shooting. And there I saw the perfect shot. Good thing though that I didn’t shoot because a piece went hurling towards the spot where I was supposed to shoot, which would have hit the camera. Whew!

Anyway, I better get going and review some of these car insurance quotes that hubby gave me. Oh btw, yes, the mamarazzi in me took tons and tons of pictures of the little girl. What else is new?

Hubby realized that we weren’t able to have a family picture taken during my sister’s wedding. So he was cooperative enough for this one.

Btw, tomorrow is another get-together party. I’ve downloaded / backed up all pictures from the micro sd card to make room for loads of photos tomorrow. I’m planning to take pictures of the whole of hubby’s clan. I pray hard that I’d be able to capture candid shots of family fun. Wish me luck!

I have not made any layout yet even if it has been a week I’ve taken time off work. I have dozens of nice photos though. But yes, it takes a lot of effort to resize them, much more to create even a simple layout.

I am still contemplating whether to get a Pro account over at Flickr which would have been so easy. I’ll just have to upload without resizing and I can post the resized version (for sharing) on my blogs.

It’s only four days before the New Year sets in. I know I need to do more contemplating than just over a Flickr account, like getting a mortgage protection insurance perhaps. Let’s see.

Hubby and I both agree that this year is the most “Christmassy” year ever in our married life. We can’t pinpoint exactly why. Maybe because this year, we were so blessed, that we were able to share our blessings to others too. Or it could be that we have gained so much new friends this year.

Even at home, the ambience is very good. I could feel it at the moment I wake up. It could be the cool breeze. Or the new church finally built just few steps from our house where we attend the dawn masses. Hmm, I just feel everyone’s happy this year. No hang-ups, no jealousy, no regrets. It seems that this Christmas gives everyone a feeling of blessedness. Everything’s so light and happy.

I hope it continues to be…. for the next years to come, like forever, perhaps?

The second level has 3 rooms, while the third level has two big rooms. Both levels look the same except for that one room at the second level.

And of course, a great view of the Taal Lake.

Just one more working day to go and I’ll be on vacation! Not that the family is going away. It’s just that hubby and I are not yet finished with our gift buying spree. Get-togethers are aplenty. I’m pretty sure our new Canon camera will be working overtime the next 2 months.

I’m not sure but I think with a little more prodding, hubby will agree on installing PS on his laptop. Either that or he can help me fix the jammed CD drive of the desktop. Jammed but not busted. So I could install PS from the CD. Wow, there’s hope.

Just the other day, my cyber friends and I were discussing about my sister’s wedding. Then we started talking about silver anniversaries and caribbean weddings. One wanted to be wed again for their “aluminum” (10th) anniversary. But I’m leaning towards a wedding celebrating our silver anniversary.

Of course, there are many romantic vacations hubby and I can go to even if it’s just the usual (I meant not silver, gold or diamond) anniversary. But of course, it’s a question of whether we could afford it or not time-wise and money-wise. I stumbled on this site called the SuperClubs which offers different wedding and honeymoon packages. Ok, here’s the deal. Aside from wanting to spend more time with my family and with friends, the reason I wanted so much to be work-free during the shutdown is I want to finish several photobooks. I forgot to blog that I wasn’t able to have the photobooks printed.

Let’s see if I’ll have the time and energy to create the (overdue) photobooks.

Btw, for those who are waiting for me to post, I don’t have *artistic* shots of my sister’s wedding. I was busy running after BG. But I’m posting some shots anyway…hmm, maybe later…or tomorrow…

Geez, it has been a week, screw the service laptop! Not that I am entirely dependent on it. It’s just that the desktop has no PS installed on it, and hubby doesn’t want to install too, and the service laptop doesn’t allow any installation. So yes, I’m a LITTLE dependent on it. Goodness!

So how do I finish those photobooks without PS? Christmas magic perhaps?

My sister’s wedding was super nice. Their two years of preparation and hard work had paid off. I remember her researching on Washington DC cosmetic dentistry. She had braces for almost two years so that her teeth are perfect on her wedding day. She was very beautiful yesterday. She was able to look her very best on their special day.

I would love to post my reviews of her suppliers but in this case, she’s the one who could give the accurate reviews. All I can say is her gown was stunning, the flowers were gorgeous, both the photo and video were great and the coordinator’s team was very efficient. It was indeed my sister’s (and my newest BIL’s) perfect night.

I am not making up an excuse. But yes, unlike most bloggers, I am not very good in composition. Probably because I think during my growing up years, my book collection was so small. And up until now, I’m not very much into chick lit’s. This probably explains why I have Literature as my gap in my knowledge.

Do you ever noticed that when people discover that you’re working in an IT company, they assume you know everything about computers and servers? Honestly sometimes I can get away with it especially since most languages have almost similar syntax. But when it comes to hardware, all I know is how to code firmware but as to how to fix the hardware, I have no idea. But sometimes, even software-related, I couldn’t be of any help.

Like when someone asked for my help on hosted team foundation server, I was clueless. All I know is that it is used to manage Visual Studio projects. The hosted tfs is very helpful in versioning and code lock among team members who might be modifying the codes simultaneously. You can always control the access to the codes. Good also to know that tfs hosting has no set-up fee and have free support. So you can be sure your business is always up and running. Now that’s value for your money.

I tried taking pictures of hubby during our Christmas party. Not wanting to be in pictures, he kept on moving whenever I take his pictures knowing that the image would be blurred. But then, his team mate offered to take a picture of us.

Hmm, I wonder why my lips look purple here. To match my dress perhaps?
