insurance quotes

This April will be our last month to pay mortgage for our car. Then just the other night, hubby showed me the latest Honda. The car is simply admirable. A thought crossed my mind. What if we sell our old car to pay for this new car’s down payment? But then, I thought I would have to wait another 2 years or so again to be debt-free. I shouldn’t be thinking of getting a new loan for a new car. It would make the purchase my dream house wait even longer.

Besides, this May, we will have to renew the car insurance. We are currently contemplating on getting a different insurance. I started checking insurance quotes online. I found this site, insurancequotesus.com to be very helpful in comparing Insurance Quotes online. I know it could be overwhelming when trying to decide when to buy auto insurance or finding which insurance could save you more. let’s try something scripted

As a beginner in Photography, I can’t quite capture all the things that I want in an event. For example, when we go out for a swim or go to a party, I take pictures as much as I can. But when I get home and look at my shots, I realized that I took too many pictures of people when I should have taken more pictures of the fishes (when we went to the Oceanarium), or I took too many pictures of things and food when I should have taken more pictures of people (during parties).

Ideally, I want to be like those wedding photographers who can “capture the moment” every time. In this way, it would be easier for me to scrap those pages.

Tomorrow, we are going to a kiddie birthday party. So I told hubby that for the event, he should be the one to hold the camera. We are going without the nanny so I’ll take care of Mikee. This may seem orchestrated but I asked hubby to take pictures of me and Mikee while we are having fun at the party e.g. watching the magic show, etc.

I’ll post results this weekend or next week. Wish me luck. :D

my favorite flowergirl pic

Yes, I tried taking pictures of our flowergirl, Mikee, during my sister’s wedding. I wasn’t quite satisfied with my shots. But of course, you can always count on the experts to capture the moment. Below is my favorite.

I simply love how Karl (or was it Mimi?) captured the droopy set eyes of Mikee when she’s about to cry. No, she didn’t cry. She was simply irritated by the flower crown (not in the photo but more or less same flowers as that of inside her flower pail) that mommy tried to put on her head thrice that day.

I have quite expected she won’t be wearing it, anyway. I just thought I’d give it a try.

at peace

Results may have varied if I were still single. ;) Now that I’m away from them, I tend to miss them a lot and appreciate them more.

You Feel at Peace With Your Family

You are very quick to forgive your family for wrongdoings. You don’t expect them to be perfect, and you try to help them out whenever it’s possible.

You have confidence in your family to take care of itself and make good decisions. You especially have this confidence in the younger generation.

While your parents made mistakes, you forgive them and accept them for who they are.

You are honest and very outspoken with your family. You sometimes hurt feelings by saying things they don’t want to hear.

losing the gain

I am currently on the hunt for a nice tankini, probably in white, yellow or red. But if I don’t lose the extra weight in time, I’d wear tank top and board shorts. Why not?!

Hubby and I gained a lot of weight during the holidays. And now our target is to lose weight before our planned vacation this March not only to look good on pictures but also for health reasons. Hubby had enrolled to the gym to work out. While I’m still trying to find effective weight loss products to use if in case my current diet plan doesn’t work in time for our outing.

fave vacation house

We went swimming with friends over the weekend. The last time we went at that vacation house was April last year. It has been a while. This vacation house is the group’s favorite. Aside from it being free, it is quite spacious. Plus, the group can sometimes be sentimental. They had been going to that house for vacation since their teenage years. Although some things had been changed like the new Delta faucets on one bathroom that had a sauna inside (yes, a steam room inside the bathroom! Nice huh?), the house still brings back good memories to hubby and his friends.

lappy blues

Up to now I’m still using the service laptop for work because my laptop is not yet fixed. Earlier I went to our IT department to check on the progress and they told me the hinge was already fixed. But when they were doing some test on it they found an error on the system memory and will try to re-format it. And will take another week to finish as they have to make more tests. Sheeeesh!

trip planning

We are going to Bohol on March with our friends and we already booked flight last year. And now our target this January is to reserve the resort where we will stay for 3 days and 2 nights. I know it’s still 2 months away but I have started planning on what to bring. Swim suits…check…..Camera…check…and of course I would not certainly forget to bring our ipods. I think my beach bag is now full! Excited? Me? What do you think? ;)

family bowling

Last Saturday, we went bowling. Hubby figured from the bowling alley, we could go to Pansol avoiding traffic at the same time. Of course, I wasn’t wearing some fancy Oscar de la Renta shoes, I was wearing flipflops and hoping for some night swimming. I just brought a pair of socks for bowling.

This is so that we could bond with my in-laws. Mikee had fun running around and was so excited seeing big colorful balls. Expectedly, being not so much into sports, I gained the lowest score. This was fine with me really. What’s important was we all had fun together. :D

the procrastinator

Wow, it’s Friday! That was fast. But there are still some things that I haven’t done. So next week I need to upload a month worth of pictures. Meaning I should upgrade my Flickr to Pro. Yeah, yeah, I had putting it off. (Is it really that obvious?)

Then I suddenly remembered a promo that Artscow is offering. 12 pieces of 8×8 photobooks till the end of January. And I haven’t scrapped a page! Sad.
