free photobooks

While browsing for affordable rugs, I got an email from Artscow informing me that I could avail of 5 free photobooks! I got excited! (Yeah, up to now, I have not a single album printed yet. Tsk, tsk. I was able to finish one album but I still feel it isn’t good enough, and need more revisions.)

Check out their newly enhanced photobook designer. And validate your gift certificate code FREE5BOOK on your “Credit & Discount” page. Viola! You get your 5 8×8 photobooks for free.

You probably know what I’m busy with this weekend. ;)

way too advanced

For two nights now, I’ve been busy browsing for efficient itineraries, budget hotels and usual trip expenses (food, transpo, park admission fees among others). Yes, this is too early to even plan ‘coz the planned trip is more than 6 months from now. But I suppose we could save more if we reserve early.

Just like with our plane tickets purchased through the Cebu Pacific promo (from March 25-31, travel dates June 1 – Dec 31 2009), we were able to save so much.

Plus, I need to know where I can get the best deals on bags, dresses, sexy lingeries and perfume around the place where we plan to stay.

Anyway, I checked some photos over at Flickr. I really hope we could have pictures as stunning as those. Fingers crossed. :P

my shopping ally

I’ve been bugging my sister that as soon as she leaves her hotel, and arrive in their house, she gives me her address. This is so that I can start buying stuff online and have them delivered to her. I’m planning to start shopping this June. The only catch is I have to wait till October before I receive the stuff. The time that she will be coming back home. Oh well.

i want more!

Thank goodness for weekends. I think I’ve read that one country actually has four working days and 3 rest days in a week. I just can’t remember where or if it was just a dream. Hahaha. That would be wonderful, don’t you think?

I want to go on another vacation, and just relax away from it all. We, with our friends, are actually thinking of another swimming/outing. The Bohol trip wasn’t enough to cover for the summer. ;)

At first, I thought the holy week would be the best time to go. I will not be working on those days, well except for Black Friday, the day the application I support will be running. But the husband told me he will be working on those days since he was on vacation for two weeks this month. Tsk, tsk.

I wonder if we can still push through with another outing this summer. I sure hope so. Why? I want some more tan. ;)

back to business

A friend opened a coffee shop cum library cum music store about three years ago. He even asked some of us, his friends, if we’d like to invest some on it. He was able to convince two of our friends. The business is indeed successful. He was good in promoting the business even having some local artists play soft music on the store to promote their latest album.

But one night, there was a fire in the store due to faulty wirings, according to the investigation. Good thing the store is covered by their business insurance. They were able to revive the business back.

Accidents can happen and you should arm yourself or your business with a good coverage. So it’s always wise to check insurance quotes online to find something that best suits your needs. Check leadinginsurancequotes.com and they are sure to match you with the perfect insurance for you or your business.

still not in the mood

There’s something wrong. For the past weeks, I do not want to take pictures. I noticed this when we were in Bohol. And last Saturday, we went back to Tanay for a swim, and still, I was in no mood to take pictures. Good thing, other people gladly took some with our SLR.

This photo was taken by my brother in law. As corrected by my brother in law, this photo was taken by hubby. :)

This got hubby to wonder. The last time I had a similar withdrawal was when I was pregnant with BG. That time, I did not want to watch TV, I hated it when the lights are turned on and I don’t even want to read or look into my mobile phone. I did not want any strain on my eyes, was even putting eye cream during the day.

But I am not pregnant nor depressed. So I am guessing I am stressed. So stressed that I don’t even want to do the things I enjoy. I hope I get my groove back before the next summer outing. ;)

weekly deals

Wouldn’t it be efficient if one site carries all the things you and your family want to buy? It saves you time and energy. It excites me to browse for the things that I wanted to buy in just one site.

I have been looking for a 1TB EHD (external hard drive) for my photos and other important files. I saw one at buy.com that I especially like. With its specifications, it would be easy to use and secure plus looks really stylish. That I’d definitely include on my cart.

I also checked for Canon lenses at the site. It would be nice to have a macro or wide-angle lens on our camera bag. It was a toss between Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM Lens and Canon EF 20mm f/2.8 USM Wide Angle Lens. But the husband is still yet to be convinced to purchase another lens for now.

I even saw a Wii wheel for my husband and a Leapfrog Tag Reading System for our daughter while browsing. This site is definitely for the entire family.

Of course, what is shopping without hunting for sales and discounts? At buy.com, you can always check their weekly deals for the best buy and ongoing promotions. Aside from the weekly deals, they have the deal of the day. Check the site now!

rare gold coins

I have often heard that to be wealthy, you will have to make your money work for you, as opposed to working for money. One good advice I received was to save and invest then whatever is left, that you can spend. Not the other way around. I have observed that people who save and invest seem to have enough to spend most of the time.

But wouldn’t it be fun if you’re investing on something that interests you? That’s what my grandfather did. He invested on rare gold coins and enjoyed building up his collection.

At Monaco rare coin, you’re sure to find certified rare coins and the best coin value. Visit the site to know more about their weekly “top picks”. And avail of their free e-flash service to stay up-to-date with coin availability and pricing alerts. Check the site now!

bitten by the shutterbug?

I must commend my husband. During our Bohol trip, he was so eager to take pictures. This was like better than him giving me diamond hoop earrings. Or maybe not. Better if he’d do both. :P

So unlikely of him. Unfortunately, I was the one who wasn’t in the mood to take pictures. Maybe because I was too tired from carrying BG. She was either too afraid (of the beach), too tired or too sleepy. For any energy left, I spent them on enjoying the moments instead of taking pictures. I did not regret it ‘coz we had plenty of nice pictures. I especially love this photo hubby took of me.

I don’t know if it was just coincidence or luck but don’t you think this followed the rule of thirds? :)

She did it on her own, finally!

BG’s godmother called me yesterday. She asked me if we could go to McDonalds with BG. She wanted to play with her. I said ok since I was almost done packing. I was on a diet so all I ordered was pineapple juice. BG had nuggets and fries.

The reason I was blogging about this was, yesterday BG did something for the first time. You see, it used to be that when BG goes to any food chain playgrounds, she always just hangs out at the start or end of the “tunnel”. She had never ventured inside.

But today, she climbed and crawled inside. And like a cheerleader, I was coaching her through the tunnel. I was waving to her whenever she passed a “window”. But just right when she’s about to slide, she paused. She took a peek checking if I was at the end of the tunnel. I cheered, “Come on, BG. Sit and slide! Mommy’s here!”

This I was telling her for about 30 minutes!!! Then she decided to sit and slide. Whew! I should have brought my camera. :P

That’s it for now. I need to finish research about free insurance quotes before I hit the sack. Good night!

vacation preps

Woah! I didn’t twit nor flick today. I didn’t even turn on the laptop before this blog post. My initial purpose was just to clean up the camera’s memory card to give way to our vacation photos to be taken in the next couple of days.

Today I was busy packing up and doing some last minute errands. Quite expectedly I missed some things on my list, like I wasn’t able to buy filter for the lens and a remote control for the camera. Oh, bygones!

What’s important is I’ll be going away with family and friends. Oh, I still feel bloated. Last weekend, I have been contemplating whether to buy the best diet pill or not. But I was too lazy to even buy.

I have been feeling thirsty most of the time. I just hope and pray the water does not retain too much. Or I won’t have the nerve to strut in my tankini. :P
