family shoot

After work, I researched about mesothelioma while browsing for latest models of tripods. Don’t you just love multi-tasking? Hehehe.

I’m a fan of tripods. Not only it avoids camera shake, it gives you the freedom to take pictures with everyone on it without asking someone else to take the picture for you. That’s what I had in mind when we went to Bohol. I knew that the chances of having someone available to take pictures of our family and having the family ready for the photoshoot is almost impossible. So even if we availed of the “travel lite” option, we brought the tripod with us. It was a good decision. :)

Thanks for looking!

color coordinated

When I started scrapping, my point of reference or even origin, was always the color of the clothes the subject is wearing. I thought it would make scrapping easier for me. NOT! I always ended up not finishing my paper layouts simply because the papers or embellies did not match. The colors weren’t close enough. When I started digiscrapping, I realized it’s time for me to deviate from my concept of a scrap page. Guess what? In digi, it DID make scrapping easier for me!

Look!

Yes, yes, I’m trying my best to finish this photobook.

digiscrapped: Mikee’s 1st airplane ride

Last week, I planned on scrapping for 5 straight days. But since I’ve decided to enroll to a driving class, I was too tired to scrap. Then, Mikee got sick. Aside from her high temp, she was vomiting and had no appetite at all. I had to move my driving class to a later date and cancel my lunch/parlor date with Trinity. We had to rush to the ER. Hubby had to work inside our car in the hospital parking lot using his Globe visibility.

We were released later that night. Mikee’s temp had normalized while we were in the hospital. But still, it went up to 39.3 again that night. We were advised to just continue her meds and keep giving her sponge bath. She has gained back her appetite but she still vomited last night.

Anyway today, while she was sleeping, I thought I could do some scrapping. Geez, it’s been a long time! :D

airing my “clean” laundry

I enjoy interpreting my dreams. I sometimes get clue on some things from them. Anyway, last night, I dreamt that my laundry (not dirty but all clean) of whites and light colors are out to dry in a public place. Well, now that I am awake I realize that none of the shirts or plus size corsets in my dream I actually own in real life. But of course, in my dream, I own them.

The second set of laundry, the dark ones are (also public but not as public as the white ones but) still soaked in a big tub. But then I sort of accidentally took off the plug which drained not only the water but the clothes as well. I think the dream dragged on with me trying to save the dark clothes, which again I do not own in real life.

The dream got me curious. I’d like to know the underlying message so I looked it up:

Seeing a dirty laundry is a warning that your friendship is in doubt, because of your careless behaviour. Dreaming about clean laundry is a sign of a good health and prosperous future.

If you are hanging a load of laundry out to dry, then something you prefer to keep hidden will soon become public knowledge – as in the metaphor, “airing your dirty laundry.” But if you’re taking your laundry down, folding it, and/or putting it away, don’t worry – your secrets are safe.

So let’s see. The whites and light colored ones would give me good health and prosperity. But since they are in public/ out to dry, some of my secrets will be public. While the dark ones, hmm, would mean my old dark secrets will be forgotten “down the drain” accidentally?

Or I should be doing my laundry this weekend, perhaps? :P

it’s springtime!

You Are Spring Break

You are fun loving and celebratory. You live for good times with friends and strangers.
You like meeting and mingling. You are a social person by nature.

You like to “play hard”… even if you don’t work hard.
You are able to let go of your worries and truly enjoy life.

test shooting

I was able to use the Nikon D90 of my husband’s uncle. The photos are amazing. But I’d say being a Canon user, I found the navigation too complicated. Nikon, in my opinion, are definitely for PROs and not for MWAC like me. Hehehe.

Now, I’m starting to wonder. Do I really need to switch to Nikon to achieve the vivid colors that I want? Or do I simply need to buy an external flash and diffuser?

And now that we’re starting to build up on our EOS system, it’s starting to feel that it’s a bit too late to switch to Nikon. I’m even contemplating to get the Sigma version of my dream lens rather than the Canon version because I am thinking I could be switching to Nikon someday. U-oh!
