Active Fun – SM North Edsa: Mommies meetup

The (MBAPs and Bebots) mommy bloggers met up again today at a place where we knew would be fun for our kids, Active Fun located at the 3rd level of SM Annex. We were invited to check out the place, and we are just so glad that they did!

I have no photo!!! Tsk tsk.

You can view some photos of the kids at Joy’s blog.

While the mommies chatted (as always), the kids were having the time of their lives jumping up and down, running here and there, swimming in the pool of balls among others.

My daughter had fun in this trampoline with Sandy who I must say is a high jumper.

She also enjoyed the slide so much. Look at this shot with Margaux.

When I took a break from taking pictures, my daughter (according to the nanny) enjoyed this.

That was surpising, I actually thought she’d be afraid of the balls “showering all over” with a loud whizzing sound.

Visit the place now. Your kid/s will surely enjoy it! Here is the current pricelist:

More photos will be uploaded to my Facebook and Flickr soon. Stay tuned. ;)

glitter tattoo

After going to the mall looking for pond pumps, we went straight to a children’s party this afternoon. Mikee had not taken her afternoon nap so she was cranky and unresponsive when we got there. Still, she lined up for and chose her glitter tattoo and its colors.

Alas, she fell asleep just when the party started.

Mommy and friends were able to score her some toys anyway which she enjoyed playing at home.

learn to put make-up on

Rarely does a woman prefer to go out without any makeup. Even going to the beach requires a little lip gloss and some blush to make one’s skin look alive. But there are countless women like me, who does not know anything about putting on make up.

The temporary solution is to go to a parlor. But how about simple gatherings such as reunions and girls’ night outs? You wouldn’t want to look like over made up for a simple event, right?

The permanent solution is to enroll oneself to a cosmetology school. And to make sure you do it right, check out the famous ones like the michigan cosmetology schools. You can be sure to learn and gain expertise.

two takes

I plan on taking lots of pictures when I visit Hong Kong this September so that I’d be more relax when I go back there in October with the entire family. This time, I promised myself I’ll be making an album of the trip to give to my mom and to my aunt. I plan on making an album too for the October trip but if in case the pictures aren’t enough to cover the story, I’d be using the September photos. *wink* *wink*

At least the templates that I’ve been collecting will be put to use.

chocolate lover

I’ve been sleeping early the past few days because of migraines. Last night, I woke up when I heard my husband put something inside our ref. He told me they’re chocolates, and asked me if I want some. The migraines have been making me feel awful, and a bar of chocolate would definitely be comforting. It was comforting, alright. I ate 3 bars! I really think I should buy Apidexin like what my sister has advised me.

shower chairs

When I was already 9 months pregnant and right after giving birth and was just too weak to stand in the shower for too long, I sit while taking my bath. I did that too when I was recovering from my gall bladder removal. I borrowed one of my mom’s shower chairs.

The chairs are very comfortable and perfect for shower. They have holes on its seat. This is a hygienic and healthier option compared to regular seats as they let the dirty water drip simultaneously as you shower. There are now so many options like foldable, removable back and with wheels. Check them out and find the one for your needs.

weekend carbo overload

This is bad.

I have been overeating. Most of the time, I wasn’t even hungry. Tsk, tsk. Read below and I’m sure you’ll agree that I should be taking diet pills starting right now. :P

Last Saturday, I started craving for Congee when I woke up. So I suggested to hubby we eat before we visit my brother in the hospital. We were able to eat Congee at 10am. And at noon, my mom ordered for Kenny Rogers chicken. I had chicken, rice, macaroni and cheese, and corn and carrots. Yeah, I know, carbo overload for the first half of the day!

When we arrived at Greenhills, our friends haven’t eaten lunch yet. Hubby and I decided we’d roam around while they eat. I didn’t find anything that I planned on buying so we went to FlapJacks to join our friends. I don’t know about hubby but he ordered hashbrown burger. Hashbrown is one of my favorites so he decided he give me some. (Bad decision. :P ) Mikee had kiddie pancakes but she only ate the chocolates and sprinkles and just some of the pancake. In the end, I ate a pancake too. :(

I just hope the calories were burned while we shopped for my daughter’s clothes and shoes. I was able to buy a nice sandals too. :)

While watching a movie, we had popcorn, fries and nachos complete with creamy cheese! Waaah! Good thing that it was our last meal for the day.

And yesterday, I thought I’ve started the day right by eating brunch instead. But golly, we decided to eat yang chow fried rice at 3pm! Complete with sweet and sour fish fillet, shrimp with salt and pepper, brocolli flower, pork siomai and nido soup with quail eggs. Yummy but I was so full I felt like I’d vomit anytime.

Then, brother-in-law’s birthday celebration at 8pm. I ate (a little of each only, ahem) carbonara, beef with mushroom, baked mussels and again, shrimp (in lobster sauce?)!

O.M.G! My tummy feels like exploding!

Shopping online, not only gives convenience but also an opportunity to shop for style and fashion that are not available in your area. When I stumbled on a site, Zappos, selling the Lucky Brand, I just can’t believe the great items they offer.

at peace

For the past two nights, we have been “helping out” with the wake of the mother of my husband’s aunt. But I realized, we did a lot more of eating than of helping. :P Instead of losing weight, I’m pretty sure I’ll be needing weight loss pills in the next coming months.

Anyway, I must say this is the most peaceful wake I’ve ever attended to. They were talking about the happy memories instead of crying that she has passed away. I guess everybody was ready.

RIP, Lola. :)

scrap stuff – window shopping

I have been browsing paper scrapbook supplies online. It was more of a window shopping, not really planning to buy just yet, but checking stuff in case I finally decide to buy. :P

It got me thinking, some papers and embellishments do look good and perfectly match the (clothes of my subject or) mood that I’d want for a certain layout but how sure am I that the colors are exact as I see them online?

I realized it would really be easy (and very inspiring) to actually go to a scrapbook store and choose my papers and embellishments for my photos. I’d like the idea of actually touching the papers to check its texture, choose a coordinating embellishments (not necessarily from the same collection), fall in line, watch the cashier swipe them with barcode scanner, and have them all packed together in a very cute paper bag. :D

But as they say, consider difficulties as challenges. :D
