at peace

For the past two nights, we have been “helping out” with the wake of the mother of my husband’s aunt. But I realized, we did a lot more of eating than of helping. :P Instead of losing weight, I’m pretty sure I’ll be needing weight loss pills in the next coming months.

Anyway, I must say this is the most peaceful wake I’ve ever attended to. They were talking about the happy memories instead of crying that she has passed away. I guess everybody was ready.

RIP, Lola. :)

scrap stuff – window shopping

I have been browsing paper scrapbook supplies online. It was more of a window shopping, not really planning to buy just yet, but checking stuff in case I finally decide to buy. :P

It got me thinking, some papers and embellishments do look good and perfectly match the (clothes of my subject or) mood that I’d want for a certain layout but how sure am I that the colors are exact as I see them online?

I realized it would really be easy (and very inspiring) to actually go to a scrapbook store and choose my papers and embellishments for my photos. I’d like the idea of actually touching the papers to check its texture, choose a coordinating embellishments (not necessarily from the same collection), fall in line, watch the cashier swipe them with barcode scanner, and have them all packed together in a very cute paper bag. :D

But as they say, consider difficulties as challenges. :D
