The husband is baaaaaaaaaack…

… and it felt like he didn’t go away. Well, except for the chocolates and Marks and Spencer clothes that he shopped for us. Oh, oh, I also got bangles and a bag! Aside from these gifts, it suddenly felt Christmas (again) this week. It must be the cool winds, and the Christmas decors.

Today I wore a sleeveless blouse because I thought we’d be going to an open clubhouse. I didn’t expect any airconditioning, I thought there will be just ceiling fans. Good thing I was wrong.

My daughter is not a fan of parties. For one, she’s afraid of mascots. But she can always get by if there are slides, trampoline, or the like in the area. So today, I was so glad to see a mini-carousel and an inflatable at Andie’s birthday party! BG, didn’t want to get inside first. But when I showed her the mini-carousel, she relaxed. Even if she didn’t watch the magic show, she had fun! She had a blast!

Why did I suddenly have the urge to organize a masquerade ball type of a Christmas party with friends? Am I that bored? Or was it because I recently found husband’s tuxedo vest that had long been not used accumulating dust in the cabinet?

Well, it would be a great photo opportunity with friends who I know would be game for something like this. Not really grand, we’ll just use a red carpet and that white tarpaulin with logo that you stand in front of to pose for pictures. Crazy, right?

I better start calling some friends now.

For the first time in years, I do not have the motivation to download the photos from our camera, much more to upload them to Facebook or Flickr. So I guess you now have an idea that I haven’t used the Artscow promo code for their free 8 pieces of 8×8 photobooks. *sigh*

Times like this one, I felt like taking a break from work, and go to another country. If that wouldn’t bring zest back, I’d probably just hop from one country to another. At least, the cross country moving would keep me busy for a time. I can take lots of pictures in between.

Or maybe, I just miss the husband terribly.

Yesterday, I saw a former neighbor. I remember helping her in her Communications Job Search. We chatted about our lives and how much people’s lives have changed in our neighborhood. We both were in a hurry but had a chance to talk longer as credit cards in every store at that mall took longer to synchronize. Apparently the staff received a memo the previous day that one credit company (which unfortunately is the card I was using) had some glitch in their system.

Good thing that I carried cash. I realized though that I’ve become accustomed to using credit instead of cash. I just thought it’s safer that way instead of carrying cash. But with what happened, I realized I still need to carry cash.

Well, later that day, I tried using the card for gas. And it worked! It left me thinking, why would that credit company not allow any transaction inside that mall? Intriguing.

I’ve been missing the husband even if he was away for only a week now. It is hard for me especially during the night as I wake up at every little sound that I hear from outside. I have been leaving the TV turned on at night, to give myself some of the husband’s “presence”. It used to be that I sleep while he still watched TV.

The husband thought that once he arrives, it will be the best time for a second honeymoon. I’m thinking of the Karisma Hotels for the perfect Honeymoon Getaway. They have resorts that exude love and romance, highly recommendable for those planning to have a beach wedding as they have weddings like no other. I wish we’d be able to plan this out soon enough or I might just get pregnant before we get a chance to have our second honeymoon! Haha.

BG received a lot of early Christmas gifts from my auntie Dina. I think she was overwhelmed by them that she couldn’t react much. One of them is this huge craft set.

She loves TinkerBell so you could imagine her amazement on the big package. What we did was hid some of them, and wait for her to look for it.

The following morning, while I was busy browsing wholesaleinsurance.net, she approached me, still in her pajamas carrying it, asking if she can open it. I told her, we can open that after she takes her bath. Needless to say, she took her bath in a hurry.

Last Friday, little BG went to her daddy’s office for some trick or treating. She actually had two costumes to choose from: Raggedy Ann and Tinker Bell.

First I showed her Kathycot’s Olin wearing the costume. She smiled and kept saying “Doll Olin!” Then on Thursday night, while I was putting on my wrinkle cream in front of the mirror, I thought maybe it’s time for BG to try the wig / head dress.

And to my surprise, she willingly put it on and while looking at herself in the mirror, she did this.

Like me, you probably had been so busy with your children’s trick or treat costume and itinerary. Well, aside from being busy looking for the best priced receipt printer, that is! Anyway, I know moms were all busy snapping for photos while their kids paraded collecting treats.

So I started looking for Halloween freebies online, and found these cute buttons. Hmm, I wonder if I can migrate them to my Facebook flair buttons. They’re so cute!

This wasn’t for trick-or-treat.

Last week, our department held our only offsite for this fiscal year. Lucky for us, we were able to have one. Our team was assigned to organize everything. I was informed just when I arrived from a week-long vacation. So I had to cancel trying out the best colon cleanse that a friend recommended. Oops, too much information.

I was a member of the food committee but the venue was able to take care of that. Just when I thought I will have nothing to do, they asked me to host the morning program. We chose a tribal theme for this offsite. Hence, the costume.
