resolutions

Many have listed their new year’s resolutions. But my question is, why wait for a new year to decide firmly what you want to do or become? Do we really need a start line for us to set our goals? Well, I guess it’s because it’s easier that you imagine you’re starting from scratch. We have this illusion of perfecting the goal, that it is just one straight line, that you won’t encounter any setback.

I’ve started my no-rice diet last December with no target end date. The only goal is have the weight loss show on my face. I don’t intend to look like a skull. I just want my jawline and chin to be more prominent like they used to.

I also intend to declutter, which I started last November but there were some minor setbacks. I wanted to sell textbooks but end up reading them, and started reminiscing.

But the biggest change I want is my perspective. I’ve always thought I am NOT spontaneous but instead realized that I am, and no longer wanted to be. I want to be as prepared as I can be, and would rather spend more time planning than spend time fixing things up.

And quite a contradiction, I’d like to challenge myself to go for what I want and explore what is unknown.

Q: What’s your resolution this year?
A: What resolution? Did you mean how clear and detailed a PHOTO is?
TOINKS!

I don’t think I’ve made a set list of resolutions, but one thing I’m sure I want to do this year is spend more time with my parents. :)
