My daughter and son have a 5-year gap. We didn’t plan on that gap. In fact, when my daughter was two, and we were so much into traveling, I thought it would be great to have the City Mini GT double stroller. That is if in case I suddenly get pregnant, and we later travel to Hong Kong or Singapore (where walking gets you to most landmarks) with both kids. But that didn’t happen. When we traveled with our son, my daughter was too big to fit in a stroller. Our son just used his sister’s old stroller, which meant big savings for us.

Anyway, the 5 year gap has its disadvantages, I just choose to look at the advantages. I’m pretty sure it will have much more advantages when they get older. As Oprah says, always count your blessings.

Every morning, I let the kids play together before my daughter prepares for school. So when I saw my son being fascinated by a piano app, I let him play the piano with my daughter. And they had so much fun than the app!

Pinterest has taken over my ME time, which I used to spend on updating my dream boards. I still do, but now I do it online. I still keep a journal for my visions, but pinning has made it more interesting, and encouraging. And viewing all those photos give me tons of ideas on how to maximize space, time and even the family budget.

But I think I’ve started to get too detailed, as my journal now includes even the smallest details such as outlet cover (you can tape information such as the paint color used on that room, etc), DIY wall clocks (instead of numbers, photos may be used), and fire hose adapter.

Anyway, when I take breaks from home-related posts, I browse fashion items and beauty tips. Alas, I end up pinning color palettes too, with our future home in mind.
