beautiful Sunday

What a beautiful Sunday. I woke up early. I’ve been waking up close to noon for the past few months. It felt good to feel the morning breeze once in a while. The coffee tasted better when the weather is cold.

I’m waiting for the husband and the daughter to wake up before preparing for Sunday mass. The plan is to shop after mass. I have some on my list, namely:
- disposable shoe covers that I’ve been wanting for a long time.
- clothes rack for the husband. Oh my, does that mean he had been shopping, and I am not? :p
- Christmas gifts for the daughter’s teachers and classmates. Their Christmas party will be held this week.
- a toy guitar that the daughter will use on their Christmas program

Well, that’s all I think. All other Christmas gifts, we’ll just buy next week.
Happy Sunday!

at peace

For the past two nights, we have been “helping out” with the wake of the mother of my husband’s aunt. But I realized, we did a lot more of eating than of helping. :P Instead of losing weight, I’m pretty sure I’ll be needing weight loss pills in the next coming months.

Anyway, I must say this is the most peaceful wake I’ve ever attended to. They were talking about the happy memories instead of crying that she has passed away. I guess everybody was ready.

RIP, Lola. :)

homemaker in the making

My sister who hardly knew any household chores emailed me and my mother to tell us that her hands are full of cuts from accidental bumps. She got them while cleaning the house.

She even cooks her own food now in her apartment. She told us she downloads recipes from the internet and tried them herself. She now knows more recipes than I do. Well, I just got less than ten.

I’m sure her husband would be happy when she gets back home. :)

family shoot

After work, I researched about mesothelioma while browsing for latest models of tripods. Don’t you just love multi-tasking? Hehehe.

I’m a fan of tripods. Not only it avoids camera shake, it gives you the freedom to take pictures with everyone on it without asking someone else to take the picture for you. That’s what I had in mind when we went to Bohol. I knew that the chances of having someone available to take pictures of our family and having the family ready for the photoshoot is almost impossible. So even if we availed of the “travel lite” option, we brought the tripod with us. It was a good decision. :)

way too advanced

For two nights now, I’ve been busy browsing for efficient itineraries, budget hotels and usual trip expenses (food, transpo, park admission fees among others). Yes, this is too early to even plan ‘coz the planned trip is more than 6 months from now. But I suppose we could save more if we reserve early.

Just like with our plane tickets purchased through the Cebu Pacific promo (from March 25-31, travel dates June 1 – Dec 31 2009), we were able to save so much.

Plus, I need to know where I can get the best deals on bags, dresses, sexy lingeries and perfume around the place where we plan to stay.

Anyway, I checked some photos over at Flickr. I really hope we could have pictures as stunning as those. Fingers crossed. :P

vacation preps

Woah! I didn’t twit nor flick today. I didn’t even turn on the laptop before this blog post. My initial purpose was just to clean up the camera’s memory card to give way to our vacation photos to be taken in the next couple of days.

Today I was busy packing up and doing some last minute errands. Quite expectedly I missed some things on my list, like I wasn’t able to buy filter for the lens and a remote control for the camera. Oh, bygones!

What’s important is I’ll be going away with family and friends. Oh, I still feel bloated. Last weekend, I have been contemplating whether to buy the best diet pill or not. But I was too lazy to even buy.

I have been feeling thirsty most of the time. I just hope and pray the water does not retain too much. Or I won’t have the nerve to strut in my tankini. :P

runaway vacation

When I hear the word RV, it reminds me of the movie starring Robin Williams and Jojo. RV’ing can be fun for the entire family. Like in the movie, it’s a good way to reconnect with other family members.

Sycamore Lodge resort is a luxury rv park nc near Pinehurst Golf Courses. The resort has a campsite perfect for a family bonding. There are activities in the resort for the children as well. Not only that, they have Swimming Pool and Jacuzzi and laundry facilities. This definitely sounds like a place for fun and relaxation.

You can bring firewood to the nc rv parks to enjoy a family campfire. If you don’t have your own RV, you can rent the modern cabins in the rv park north Carolina. For more information, check their site now!

family trips

Hubby and I are excited to plan our vacation trips for the year. On March we will go to Bohol to spend the summer with friends. Then sometime in October, we will go to one Asian country in time for the celebration of my sister in law’s birthday.

Hubby suggested we spend one vacation just the three of us. He’s eyeing the Carribean all inclusive family vacation. There are so many activities for family bonding offered at Azul Sensatori Hotel. Honestly, just taking pictures of the sunset and the beach would make me happy. But I’m excited to know that there’s a family barbeque at the beach, and entertainment on the Rooftop Garden Lounge. Isn’t that amazing?!

my sister’s perfect night

My sister’s wedding was super nice. Their two years of preparation and hard work had paid off. I remember her researching on Washington DC cosmetic dentistry. She had braces for almost two years so that her teeth are perfect on her wedding day. She was very beautiful yesterday. She was able to look her very best on their special day.

I would love to post my reviews of her suppliers but in this case, she’s the one who could give the accurate reviews. All I can say is her gown was stunning, the flowers were gorgeous, both the photo and video were great and the coordinator’s team was very efficient. It was indeed my sister’s (and my newest BIL’s) perfect night.

best people

Maybe I’m being sentimental; I’ve come up with definitions of the best people in our lives.

Husband/Wife – someone you love and lust and who you’ve resigned to being with for the rest of your life (without panicking)
Daughters/Sons – people you love so much that it’s starting to feel your heart’s going to explode
Siblings/brothers/sisters – people you love and hate at the same time
Parents/father/mother – people you grew up hating (and loving only in your subconscious) but whose approval is the fulfillment of your being
Friends – your non-genetically related siblings

This is my definition ok? ;)
