careful planning

A high school friend initially planned on taking her LSAT review abroad, but opted to review online and just apply for her visa after passing her LSAT. Good decision, as her visa was approved and she is now enrolled in a prestigious law school abroad.

Like she said, you can have your LSAT prep at the convenience of your own home, during your free time at your own pace. Amazing how the internet could make dreams so much easier to reach.

before and after

It is early in the morning and yet I am reading some diet pill reviews. You probably wondering why? It’s because I feel so guilty with what I ate this weekend. Just like one yummy cake from Alex Franco that was served during the MBAPs birthday celebration.

Here are the lovely June celebrants:

After half an hour and tons of chatting:

Friday fun

Last Friday, hubby’s team went out to have a laser tag game, care of the July birthday celebrants of the two teams. I did bring a camera even if I was told that’s not allowed inside. I just thought I could take a snapshot of them wearing their gear holding their lasers. That would have been cool. But I guess they won’t allow that, probably included in their package to have pictures inside. Not really sure because I was too lazy to check the prices on the reception area.

I thought I would be forced to play with them. I’m not really a game person. I don’t like physical games. The only reason I play bowling or badminton was to “bond” with friends/families. Anyway, I was relieved that I needed not with them. I remember playing something like this way way back in the 90s somewhere in Megamall. And in my opinion, the money was wasted because I just sort of hid most of the time. Yeah, I know, loser, right? :p

Oh, I took few shots of them outside the place. At least, they have a group pic. Most pictures were taken at Trellis, where we had dinner after. All expense paid by the celebrants. THANKS! :)

On our way home, we tuned in to Monster Radio and they were doing some sort of a poll: what kind of horse would you want to be seen with. Hmm, like I said I’m not really a “physical activity” type of person so I’d prefer a pony, which I’d care for like a cat, just making her pretty. :P Aside from her regular horse supplements, she’ll have the cutest accessories. In short, my pet pony would look very much like a small unicorn sans the horn. :P

Got two!

Just last week, our lakwatsera friend Glo announced she’s giving away her scrapbooking-related books. Hurriedly, the Bebots checked her Flickr to choose and save for the books.

While I was out last weekend, Glo sent out a list of the books and the lucky recipients of each. I suddenly felt sad because I didn’t receive any email. I, of course, thought I didn’t get any books. But then Mai, told me that I did and forwarded the email. I was just missed out on the email. :)

Yay! I got two! Find Your Groove and Imperfect Lives. I am so excited!!!

Thanks Glo! Mwah!

thanks Diane!

Our good friend (aka one of my idols in scrapping, both in paper and digital) and fellow Bebot, Diane, gave us a very nice surprise last Friday at the Bebots meet-up. For most of us, it was our first time to meet her in person although I’ve chatted with her so often. I’ve even shared secrets with her.

Thanks for this Diane. This is really precious. I really appreciate it. Why, it’s now displayed at our place!

Sharing pictures:

Mind you, these are paper scraps! :)

I took a lot of photos that day, well aside from Trin’s boudoir photographs, that I requested for hubby to expand our computer memory. I’m pretty sure there will be more photo shoots on the next meet-ups.

fave vacation house

We went swimming with friends over the weekend. The last time we went at that vacation house was April last year. It has been a while. This vacation house is the group’s favorite. Aside from it being free, it is quite spacious. Plus, the group can sometimes be sentimental. They had been going to that house for vacation since their teenage years. Although some things had been changed like the new Delta faucets on one bathroom that had a sauna inside (yes, a steam room inside the bathroom! Nice huh?), the house still brings back good memories to hubby and his friends.

kebab night

Last night, we went to our friend’s house to talk about small business opportunities. They are opening a kebab restaurant around our area. It was like a taste test of one item on their menu. I tried both the pita and rice version of it. It was fun mainly because the food was unlimited. This couple is actually not yet married but just dating for quite a time now. And I think it’s good that they are trying to save up for their future.

So everyone talked about other possible business we could venture. I’d say it was a very productive night. With friends not just chatting about the latest gossip, but talked about important aspects of life. :)
