our movie date turned spa date

At around 7pm this evening, husband and I thought we should have a movie date and watch “Alice in Wonderland” in 3D. So we headed to the nearest mall but were disappointed but not so surprised to see that tickets were all sold out two hours before its showing time. We roam around a bit longer, looked for custom mugs at a gift shop, while trying to decide if we would still watch the movie in a regular cinema, not in 3D.

But it wouldn’t be as much fun. So the movie date turned into a spa date. Not so bad as we were able to try out another spa near our place. And I think we have found a new favorite. It’s a lot cleaner than our previous favorite spa. The only disadvantage that I could think of is the smell. The smell of the scented candles and oils were just too strong, it clogged my nose. I’m pretty sure if I go there with a migraine, things would just get worse for me.

it’s a (movie) date!

I realized that it’s been a long time since I last went to a movie house. I sort of miss eating overpriced popcorn and nachos while watching. I miss the coldness and darkness while waiting for a movie to start. I miss even the exit signs, the only thing your eyes can see once the lights went out unexpectedly.

I wonder if “The tooth fairy” movie starring Dwayne Johnson would be funny and worth my time. I’m also a bit intrigued by the “Legion” movie. Hmm, I think both movies are opening on the same date. I’ll leave it to my husband to decide on what movie we are watching. :D

crazy Friday

Last Friday, my daughter and I joined hubby’s teammates on their Christmas party. It was a Jollibee kiddie party. I wasn’t able to really enjoy the party as BG was crying and got frightened (expectedly) upon seeing Jollibee.

While they headed to PierOne, we brought BG home first, rest a little then headed to the Fort again to join them. Everybody was drunk by the time we got there. They were dancing, I was afraid somebody might slip on the granite tile floor. I had fun watching them have fun. I’ve observed too that some girls from the other tables started dancing as well.

Gilbey’s premium (green tea) tasted so good that I forgot it has alcohol hahaha. We hopped to another place after (didn’t get the name of the place though) and had too many San Mig light. In short, I got drunked! :P

second honeymoon, perhaps?

I’ve been missing the husband even if he was away for only a week now. It is hard for me especially during the night as I wake up at every little sound that I hear from outside. I have been leaving the TV turned on at night, to give myself some of the husband’s “presence”. It used to be that I sleep while he still watched TV.

The husband thought that once he arrives, it will be the best time for a second honeymoon. I’m thinking of the Karisma Hotels for the perfect Honeymoon Getaway. They have resorts that exude love and romance, highly recommendable for those planning to have a beach wedding as they have weddings like no other. I wish we’d be able to plan this out soon enough or I might just get pregnant before we get a chance to have our second honeymoon! Haha.

Friday fun

Last Friday, hubby’s team went out to have a laser tag game, care of the July birthday celebrants of the two teams. I did bring a camera even if I was told that’s not allowed inside. I just thought I could take a snapshot of them wearing their gear holding their lasers. That would have been cool. But I guess they won’t allow that, probably included in their package to have pictures inside. Not really sure because I was too lazy to check the prices on the reception area.

I thought I would be forced to play with them. I’m not really a game person. I don’t like physical games. The only reason I play bowling or badminton was to “bond” with friends/families. Anyway, I was relieved that I needed not with them. I remember playing something like this way way back in the 90s somewhere in Megamall. And in my opinion, the money was wasted because I just sort of hid most of the time. Yeah, I know, loser, right? :p

Oh, I took few shots of them outside the place. At least, they have a group pic. Most pictures were taken at Trellis, where we had dinner after. All expense paid by the celebrants. THANKS! :)
~
On our way home, we tuned in to Monster Radio and they were doing some sort of a poll: what kind of horse would you want to be seen with. Hmm, like I said I’m not really a “physical activity” type of person so I’d prefer a pony, which I’d care for like a cat, just making her pretty. :P Aside from her regular horse supplements, she’ll have the cutest accessories. In short, my pet pony would look very much like a small unicorn sans the horn. :P

tipsy Friday

I think it was Monday when hubby told me they were having a team meeting over their manager’s house yesterday. He told me he wanted me and our daughter to come too. I was a bit reluctant because it would make me feel like a spy on their team plans since I belong to another team in another bundle.

But since it was a Friday, I relented. And just like what my husband stated on his Facebook status, the meeting was just a drinking session. I think I ate too much pizza and chips and drunk beer too many that I need a colon cleanse soon.

I had fun watching them sing with a little alcohol in their system. They were singing lots of boy band songs and 80’s romantic/ballad songs, which was really funny with all the hand gestures and a bit of dancing.

My daughter, on the other hand, had fun playing with a little dog in the kitchen. So I kept going back and forth the kitchen to check on her once in a while. She was active till midnight (as she is usually) but got tired and sleepy by 1 am which was a signal for us to bid our goodbyes.

So there. That explains why my husband and daughter woke up at 11am today. :P

bitten by the shutterbug?

I must commend my husband. During our Bohol trip, he was so eager to take pictures. This was like better than him giving me diamond hoop earrings. Or maybe not. Better if he’d do both. :P

So unlikely of him. Unfortunately, I was the one who wasn’t in the mood to take pictures. Maybe because I was too tired from carrying BG. She was either too afraid (of the beach), too tired or too sleepy. For any energy left, I spent them on enjoying the moments instead of taking pictures. I did not regret it ‘coz we had plenty of nice pictures. I especially love this photo hubby took of me.

I don’t know if it was just coincidence or luck but don’t you think this followed the rule of thirds? :)

My husband loves watching TV especially at night after work. According to him, it’s his way of relaxing after a hard day’s work, plus watching TV sort of puts him to sleep. So I’m pretty sure he’d get excited if I tell him of the DirecTV deals I just saw online today.

pc upgrade

Hubby is planning to upgrade our desktop computer. I was surprised of this plan since the PC has 500GB hard disk. But his defense was the memory isn’t enough as he always download movies and TV series from the internet. Plus my digital kits are taking a big chunk of the space too. So after attending mass this morning, we went to the mall to do some windowshopping. As he looked for the 1 terabyte hard disk replacement, I went on checking for 1 terabyte EHD but can’t find any. Instead, I thought it would be nice to buy a 17-inch Rackmount lcd that I saw to replace our old 17” bulky monitor.

Hmm, I wonder if a big memory and a kick-ass monitor are just what I need to get my scrapping mojos back into the groove. :)

yummy shakes

A friend was chatting with my husband last night then suddenly remember how fit hubby was about 4 years ago. He started asking hubby how he was able to lose the flab and buffed up. This friend was talking about some years ago when hubby was still actively working out in the gym four times a week. The husband shared that when buffing up, high protein diets are helpful. Our friend commented he doesn’t like the taste of PROTEIN SHAKES.

My husband suggested the natural protein powder that comes in vanilla and chocolate flavors. These are said to be the best tasting with natural Whey Isolate protein. And while you’re at the site, check out different protein shake recipes! Now that’s healthy and yummy!

are we buying a new car?

Today, I received a call informing me that we have been pre-approved for a car loan. This is for the new Honda City that we did test-drive last weekend. Since we will be finished with our current car loan, hubby thought we could upgrade to the new City. We have chosen the color of the car we want in case we push through with the new loan.

In connection to this, we started checking for insurance quotes for the new car. We are looking for the most affordable we could find online. I saw that onlineautoinsurance.com helps in comparing auto insurance quotes from different companies. No need to visit several websites to compare, you can compare it here on one site. It saves you time and effort. You can find the coverage that suits your needs, and fits your budget.

I’ll show this to hubby when he comes home tonight. I’m pretty sure he’s excited about the new car. But the question remains. Are we buying the new car? :D

family trips

Hubby and I are excited to plan our vacation trips for the year. On March we will go to Bohol to spend the summer with friends. Then sometime in October, we will go to one Asian country in time for the celebration of my sister in law’s birthday.

Hubby suggested we spend one vacation just the three of us. He’s eyeing the Carribean all inclusive family vacation. There are so many activities for family bonding offered at Azul Sensatori Hotel. Honestly, just taking pictures of the sunset and the beach would make me happy. But I’m excited to know that there’s a family barbeque at the beach, and entertainment on the Rooftop Garden Lounge. Isn’t that amazing?!
