got tons of photos, and i want more!

Going to Hong Kong twice would definitely mean lots of photos again. I already got tons of photos that are yet to be printed. Good to know though that Artscow has another promo for their 8×8 photobook. :)

8″ x 8″ photo book (60 pages) for just $18.99 (originally priced $29.99), with shipping included. Each additional photo book thereafter only $15.99/each with shipping included.

My other option is to buy several digital frames and display one in each room. Oh, it would be a nice gift for my parents. :)

bitten by the shutterbug?

I must commend my husband. During our Bohol trip, he was so eager to take pictures. This was like better than him giving me diamond hoop earrings. Or maybe not. Better if he’d do both. :P

So unlikely of him. Unfortunately, I was the one who wasn’t in the mood to take pictures. Maybe because I was too tired from carrying BG. She was either too afraid (of the beach), too tired or too sleepy. For any energy left, I spent them on enjoying the moments instead of taking pictures. I did not regret it ‘coz we had plenty of nice pictures. I especially love this photo hubby took of me.

I don’t know if it was just coincidence or luck but don’t you think this followed the rule of thirds? :)

2009 is another great year!!!

First off, I’m so thankful that the three elves are back here. Good way to start the year, right? :)

Second, hubby started picking up Candice once in a while. In fact, I like most of his shots better than mine.

Third, if you believe in that “whatever you do on the first day of the year, you will be doing the entire year” saying, well, I guess we did great! We spent time with family and friends yesterday.

Geez, I have so much entry on my journal about the activities done yesterday but only 3 things I can write online. [wink][wink]

2009 is another great year, huh?

So where are the scrap pages? I know!!!

E family Christmas photo

Hubby realized that we weren’t able to have a family picture taken during my sister’s wedding. So he was cooperative enough for this one.

Btw, tomorrow is another get-together party. I’ve downloaded / backed up all pictures from the micro sd card to make room for loads of photos tomorrow. I’m planning to take pictures of the whole of hubby’s clan. I pray hard that I’d be able to capture candid shots of family fun. Wish me luck!

Balai Taal

SPACIOUS, well-kept and very efficient staff.

The kitchen and dining area are at the lowest floor, with a maids’ quarter (and a big dirty kitchen).

The second level has 3 rooms, while the third level has two big rooms. Both levels look the same except for that one room at the second level.

And of course, a great view of the Taal Lake. :D

Perfect!

the tree and the snowball

I’ve been planning to take pictures of the Christmas tree. And tonight, I tried to. Believe me, I had to take tons before I was satisfied. Well, honestly, I am still not. But I am too tired and too sleepy to try some more.

I don’t think I can still join the December Dailies Album. It’s 3rd day of the month and I haven’t scrapped a thing. All I did last night was choose the kit I’d like to use throughout the album. Come to think of it, I haven’t even decided what kit to use. I’ve just narrowed it down to three.

Geez, I’m off to flash the exit sign now. Half of the brain is asleep. ;)

our matching PJs

Last night, I took a picture of me and BG both wearing our Strawberry Shortcake PJs. And today while browsing for barcode scanners, I learned of Photoshop actions over at Twitter. I’ve never used it before. I even googled how to load the actions because I had no idea how. ;)

Anyway, below are only two of my many reasons I wanted to buy lomo cameras this Christmas.

They looked nice. Makes me think twice about getting the toys. :P

would you like toast with that?

Cute isn’t it? This was taken when BG was 11 months old. Hubby was supposed to join us in this photo. It’s just that he is such a KILLJOY!!! Hahaha. It’s been more than a year since we last visited a photo studio. I am thinking of having BG’s pictures taken again now that she has grown up so much since. Well, we can schedule it next time we visit the mall.

Speaking of mall, I need to go to the mall this Friday to pay some bills, buy some groceries and visit a local bookstore for some dessert recipes and check the price of the Twilight collection. I’d like to know if it’s cheaper to buy online.

Sony M1: consumer’s review

We are owners of Sony-M1 for more than 3 years now. Although I’m not sure about the Sony-M2, let me share with you some of my frustrations. I will never recommend this to anyone, really.

  • It works well on well-lit places, but not on dark places. This was taken without any lights on and blinds closed but at noontime! Geez!
  • There’s no available flash that you can connect/add to it. So when out on a bar or bonfire, this digicam is hopeless.
  • If we set it to take brighter pictures (the candle icon), it will be all blurry. Unless, it is a non-moving object and you’re using a tripod.
  • Yes, tripod. We need a tripod to make use of the timer. ‘Coz unlike most digicams, you can not just put this on top of a flat surface. Although, sometimes, I appreciate it since it just looks like a mobile phone.
  • Oh, let me not start about that station as they call it (to charge it and connect with a PC or TV)
  • Too pricey for its quality (or lack of it).
  • But there is a reason I can not part with this digicam.

    • The videos (MPEG4 format) are just fantastic! Just like with photos, I take videos of BG too.

Because of this model alone, we won’t buy any Sony camera anymore. Point-and-shoot and DSLR alike.
