Sentosa: Parajump @ Megazip

When I was researching for fun things for us to do while in Singapore, I realized that the Megazip Adventure Park is definitely a must-try for the husband.

So when he went in for his parajump and megazip, my daughter and I waited outside. And the little girl saw this and tried it herself.

Not bad for a beginner.

Then I saw the foreigners who were in front of my husband in the queue for the parajump. His knees were scraped like big adult acne. I asked him where he got that. He said he landed on his knees during his jump. Ouch!

I had to ask the clerk how much a photo costs when I saw this.

I was disappointed when she told me that there’s no photo system yet for Megazip Adventure Park. Sheesh! When the husband came back, I asked him if he wants to parajump again so I could take pictures. But oops, I was still looking for the perfect spot, when I heard him jump. All I got was this blurry shot.

So I asked him again if he can jump one more time. For some reason, the DSLR was set to timer. So 3 seconds after his jump, the camera started clicking. You can even hear it in this video (you can hear my daughter counting for the jump as well).

Nope. He didn’t want to jump for the 4th time (nor do the megazip again). I perfectly understand. ;)

zoobic safari: Croco Loco

One of the trivia (or maybe we can just call it information that I missed out when I was still in school haha) that I learned when we went to the Croco Loco is to distinguish a crocodile from the alligator. That crocodiles have pointy snout while the alligators have rounded ones. But for us, simple people, this little info is not much of a help as we all know, both are dangerous.

These two seemed to pose for us. Look closely. Don’t they remind of bags and shoes? Or perhaps, your favorite anti wrinkle face cream? Kidding.

~
I suddenly remember a shirt of one wild animal rescuer that says “I catch wild animals for a living. If you see me running, try to catch up.” Witty but wouldn’t you take his advice seriously?

zoobic safari: Savannah

Savannah is the part of the zoobic safari tour where your car or the train-like zoo vehicle passes by the animals roaming around such as ostriches, goats, and sheep.

As their website says, get a peck on the cheek, which sounds like fun, really. But when you’re there, it kind of freaks you out. It felt like my head had started to be filled with fear. That’s how I felt. I tried to calm down and had small talk with my sisters-in-law. Of all, we started talking about best acne treatment. Plus, I was staying in the middle of the “train” just so that I don’t get accidentally kissed by the ostriches.

zoobic safari: Tiger Safari / Close Encounter

Are you brave enough? :D

The biggest attraction for the Zoobic Safari is the Tiger Safari where one gets to ride a close caged jeepney that goes near the tigers who roam around. One has an option to buy chicken meat for only P200 and someone from the zoo will feed it to the tiger while you to watch.

Afterwhich, the tour goes on to the “close encounter” wherein one can go near the tigers in cages.

Before I read these acne product reviews, let me just share with you one of the photos we took of the other jeepney and a tiger.

I’m not sure why but when our jeepney stops near a tiger, the tiger walks away.

ruins replica at SM The Block

We went to SM The Block as planned and were surprised to see an exhibit featuring Macau. There was a replica of the ruins of St. Paul’s. Then I thought it would be nice to go back to Macau to visit Macau Tower and Fisherman’s Wharf again. Hopefully, it won’t be raining so I could take nice photos. It won’t hurt to go back to the ruins too for the egg tart and beef jerky. Yummy. And we might be able to find those Avo cigars. Plus, we could visit the Venetian Hotel this time, and finally ride the Gondola.

Yeah, it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to go back to Macau!

Mikee loves ferry rides

Last Sunday, we went to Macau by Ferry from Hong Kong. It was my first time to ride a ferry for that long, an hour. I got really dizzy. This is the reason why I stay away from water beds and mobile homes. My daughter, on the other hand, had fun while trying to balance herself while the ferry swayed.

Quite oddly but not surprisingly, just when we are taking pictures during the tour, my daughter was no longer in the mood. Hence, the frown on all her photos.

Tsk. tsk.

Haunted Halloween at Disney!

Last Sunday, September 13th, Disney has begun their Halloween! Your favorite rides have been transformed into ghoulish adventures.

Instead of the usual parade, Disney will have not just one, but two parades! The second one, being on the evening, is called the Glow in the Park Halloween Parade. This is your chance to dance along with Jack Skellington (of Tim Burton’s Nightmare before Christmas movie) and his creepy Pumpkin Men, the Disney villains among others who all transform and glow in the dark!

This event will last only till October 31st. Hurry! Buy your Disney World Tickets now, and don’t miss this once a year Disney Halloween treat!

scrapped: blood compact

I’m not sure why I forgot to share these layouts (or spread because they are actually related).

The pictures were taken at the blood compact statue in Bohol. We weren’t able to visit the actual blood compact place but that one with the statue was fine.

scrapped: chocolate hills

Oh my! I am swamped with photos and still, I haven’t finished our Bohol album.
For now, let me share with you one layout I finished a long time ago. Hahaha. Seriously.
I’m not even sure if I remember who to credit but I’ll try.

This is actually the right side of the spread. I plan to have just one picture, not a layout, on the left side.
