Baguio: Strawberry taho!
Since it’s summer, I expected the weather in Baguio to be just cool so I didn’t pack heavy sweaters. Instead, I brought leggings, shirts and jacket for my daughter so she’ll have an option to remove or put on the jacket. While I chose to layer my tops but most are sleeveless anyway. I also brought some strapless dresses which are made of thick fabric so I knew they would be enough to make me warm.
I know this kind of weather is perfect for beer and some grilled food in the backyard. But it isn’t just practical to bring electric grills on trips, good thing though that Baguio is full of restaurant and bars that have grilled food in their menu.
Being pregnant, I dismissed the thought of an ice cold beer for the night. Instead, I chose to sleep early and wake up early to pick from the strawberry fields in La Trinidad.
The kids were disappointed though because there were no strawberries for picking because of the rain.
Ok, I admit, I was disappointed too.
Still, there were strawberries for sale.
We opted for taho (soy pudding) with strawberries.
Does it look too sweet? Well, yeah, it was.
